We are delighted to announce the successful completion of our recent Community Matching Gift fundraising campaign, which concluded in July, well ahead of the December 2025 deadline. A heartfelt thank you to all our donors, whose generosity continues to make a lasting difference across the College.

We extend particular gratitude to Career Essentials Inc. and our great friend David Scrymgeour, whose generous £125,000 matching pledge inspired many to contribute. This wonderful support—doubling the value of donations—played a vital role in encouraging new and increased giving.

Donor support has directly benefited a wide range of priorities, including the general fund, building projects, bursaries for students facing hardship, scholarships, and the History and Philosophy of Physics (HAPP) Centre.

We are pleased to share that David and Career Essentials’ contribution will go towards endowing a ninth St Cross Community Bursary. These pioneering bursaries support students who demonstrate outstanding achievements and commitment to personal development, leadership, and entrepreneurship—often excelling in areas such as sport, the performing arts, community engagement, or leadership within student or external organisations.

Thank you again to everyone who made this campaign a success.

The matching campaign was a key part of a fruitful financial year for St Cross, during which almost half a million was raised by alumni and friends. We are pleased to recognise everyone who contributed in our List of Donors and please see the Development Director's Report for further details.
