The Professionals in Residence Programme facilitates engagement between students, alumni, and current members of the College community with distinguished professionals from a range of backgrounds and disciplines. Outstanding individuals eminent in their respective fields are invited to reside at St Cross College for a short period, during which they will host range of events designed to engage with the College community. During their residency, individuals will contribute towards College life by delivering a series of lectures, workshops, roundtables, seminars and other events open to a range of audiences. To launch the Professionals in Residence Programme, St Cross Alumnus and New York employment lawyer, Doug Wigdor, was in residence from 29th November – 5th December. Doug Wigdor has been at the forefront of some of the most widely publicized sexual harassment and sexual assault cases that have made headline news around the world. During his residency at St Cross College he led events on a range of issues and topics including the #MeTooMovement; the US Presidential Race and Impeachment, as well as his own personal insight into some of the most high-profile US sexual assault cases on which he has worked.
We will be launching nominations for future Professionals in Residence. If you would like more information, please get in touch with James Brazier at alumni.events@stx.ox.ac.uk.
