Thanks to generous support from David Scrymgeour, St Cross is delighted to be able to award up to eight bursaries, worth £5,000 each, to current St Cross College students. Previous Community Bursary recipients may not re-apply.

To be eligible to apply for a St Cross College Community Bursary, you must be a current student at St Cross for the 2024-2025 academic year.

  • Three Bursaries will be open to all students without restriction.
  • One Bursary will be open to students who are normally resident in Africa.
  • One Bursary will be open to students who can demonstrate sporting achievement at the local/national/international level.
  • One Bursary will be open to students whose course of study relates to business and the environment.
  • Two Bursaries will be open to students studying on a course at the Saïd Business School.

Bursaries will be awarded to students based on their demonstrated achievements and commitment to supporting their own personal development, leadership skills, and entrepreneurial spirit. Successful applicants will have a track record of excelling in areas such as sport, community engagement, the performing arts, and leadership of university societies or local/national/international  organisations. Applicants will be expected to demonstrate current excellence and commitment in one or more of the above areas.

These are one-off awards and are not renewable in subsequent years of study. Successful applicants will receive a one-off payment of £5,000 to help support them with the costs incurred by participating in and leading extra-curricular activity.
