Providing for the College's future

Why give a legacy?

Your legacy is a way of showing what is important to you in life. By remembering St Cross in this way, you join many others who have also committed to supporting the College. St Cross is a lively, egalitarian, and diverse Graduate College, which has grown from humble beginnings. We want to ensure that St Cross is able to provide for future generations of students and Fellows and you can help us achieve this.

The impact of a legacy

St Cross has already come a long way from the Wooden Hut on St Cross Road to the fine buildings we now occupy on St Giles. Legacies have made it possible to create a thriving community with a large, distinguished and diverse Fellowship and more than 550 students from all around the world. A legacy can be put to use in the heart of St Cross life where need is greatest.

If you wish your gift to be put towards a specific purpose which reflects your particular interests, Head of Development Victoria Cox would be happy to discuss the details with you.

The Audrey Blackman Society

The College’s art collection was greatly enriched in the early 1990s by a legacy from Audrey Blackman, a former Member of Common Room, in the form of her collection of watercolours. She also left her house on Boars Hill to St Cross. In honour of this legacy, the College established the Audrey Blackman Society. The Society comprises legacy pledgers to the College.

This special group is invited to exclusive College events and meets annually for a lunch hosted by the Master. If you let us know your intentions we would be delighted to offer you membership. Of course if you prefer your pledge to remain confidential we will respect your anonymity.

Thank you for thinking of St Cross.
