This event is open to current St Cross students only and you will need to provide your student ID number when booking.

 

As part of the St Cross College Professionals in Residence programme, this exclusive experience will give St Cross students unparalleled access to one of the world’s leading documentary film makers and producers. A pioneer in multiplatform storytelling, Anthony has won over 50 international awards including multiple British Academy awards (BAFTAs) and multiple Emmy Awards. Anthony is St Cross Fellow by special election. This event must be booked in advance. The workshop day will be fully catered with lunch and refreshments provided. 

Programme: 

10:00 – 10:30: Meet and greet in West Wing foyer with refreshments 

10:30 – 12:30: The Future of Immersive Storytelling  

Lecture in West Wing lecture theatre 

Anthony Geffen, multi-BAFTA and Emmy award winning producer and storytelling visionary, will discuss the future of immersive storytelling, including how the use of AR, VR, MR and AI will affect storytelling in the future. This will by followed by a Q&A session with Anthony after the lecture. 

12:30 – 1:30: Working lunch with Anthony and his team 

Sit-down lunch in West Wing marquee. Lunch will be provided but please make sure the team are aware of any dietary requirements when booking.  

13:30 – 15:30: Immersive Storytelling – Exploring some of the world’s most cutting-edge immersive experiences 

Drop-in equipment demonstrations in St Cross Room with refreshments 

Experience some of the most cutting-edge immersive experiences in the world that have been produced by Atlantic Productions. From pre-historic animals exploring the room with you in AR and MR, to exploring the world of insects in 8K VR, this will be a chance to see some of the best immersive experiences in the world and discuss them with the people that created them.
