St Cross College Non-Stipendiary Research Fellowships

St Cross College invites applications for four non-stipendiary Research Fellowships tenable for up to three years alongside confirmed postdoctoral funding from 1 October 2026. The Fellowships will carry a fixed number of Common Table lunch rights and are open to candidates in any academic discipline who hold a fully-funded  postdoctoral research post at the University of Oxford of at least two years' duration from October 2026. Successful candidates will be expected to participate actively in College life.

Applicants should submit a curriculum vitae including the start and end date of their  Oxford postdoctoral contract and a one-page (maximum) covering letter, both outlining what they would contribute to College life if successful in their application and a brief statement of research plans. They should also ask their Oxford departmental line manager to provide a reference on their behalf to the College confirming the duration of their contract, their research achievements, and potential contributions to College life.

Any queries on the Research Fellowships and/or eligibility should be sent to the Senior Tutor (Academic Affairs & Programmes) at joanna.ashbourn@stx.ox.ac.uk. Applications should be emailed to the Master's PA at master.pa@stx.ox.ac.uk. The closing date for applications is 5pm on Friday 20 March 2026. Applicants should also ask their referee to email their reference to the Master's PA by that date.

Interviews of shortlisted candidates will take place in June 2026.
