Located in central Oxford and offering a beautiful quadrangle setting, St Cross College is pleased to offer facilities for all kinds of events such as conferences, formal meetings, dinners, banquets, luncheons, drinks receptions and wedding receptions.
With excellent catering and an extensive wine cellar, St Cross has a number of rooms available for your event, each with its own definite atmosphere and style.
St Cross has been certified as 'Good to Go' for 2021 - a UK-wide industry standard and consumer mark that confirms we follow government and industry COVID-19 guidelines, ensuring processes are in place to maintain cleanliness and aid social/physical distancing.
The West Wing
The West Wing building provides extensive lecture, conference and meeting facilities on its ground floor. The building has been designed by Níall McLaughlin Architects, who received a RIBA National Award and were shortlisted for the Stirling Prize in 2015 for their work on Darbishere Place in Whitechapel.
The building is finished in Clipsham stone, and striking mullions surround the large windows, allowing plenty of natural light into the building. The building was completed in early 2017 and is now fully open for public use, and will make an impressive setting for your next event.
This new stylish lecture theatre is the ideal setting for any large event, with a capacity of 80. The theatre is equipped with the latest AV systems, and is fully accessible.
The Small Seminar Rooms - The Sybil Dodd Rooms
These two new well-proportioned seminar rooms create a charming, intimate meeting space, which can accommodate up to 8 people each. The rooms can be transformed into one larger seminar room for up to 14 delegates.
Large Seminar Room
This new seminar room is a beautiful setting for any event, full of natural daylight and views across the garden quad. This impressive and spacious seminar room can accommodate up to 26 delegates boardroom style.
Café Garden Room - The Douglas and Catherine Wigdor Room
The café garden room provides an informal and flexible space for any breaks during your meetings.
The Main Building
The van Heyningen Room
The van Heyningen Room displays some of the college's most beautiful artwork, together with a section of our library, thus creating an elegant and intimate environment. Meetings and dinners can be held in this room up to a maximum of 10 people.
The Ian Skipper Room
Despite being on the lower ground floor the Ian Skipper room has natural daylight and is within close reach of all the college's amenities. The larger size of the room makes it very flexible in its use, it can hold a boardroom meeting or dinner for up to 24 people, or alternatively be used as a lecture theatre for up to 35 people.
The Saugman Common Room
This room is the social heart of the college. Located in the east wing of the college with a view over the Blackman Quad through large windows, the Saugman room, a former cloister has direct access on to the quadrangle lawn. This room is perfect for any kind of social reception or party, including wedding receptions.
Located in the newly built South wing, the Hall is a highly attractive dining room, seating up to 120 people for dinner, luncheons or banquets. The large windows offer superb views to the college garden, which together with the high ceilings make this room a light, airy and comfortably spacious area for any gathering.
The St Cross Room
The St Cross Room, perfect to host meetings, is also an intimate environment to host lunch or dinner receptions (up to 18 people).
