Vijay Mamtani

Vijay Mamtani is a clean-tech entrepreneur and electrical engineer with over 10 years of experience in developing innovative energy solutions for remote and extreme environments. As Founder and CEO of PRAYOGik (Experiment Improving Knowledge), he leads research and product development in mechatronics, renewable power generation systems (such as thermoelectric and biomass-based generators designed for off-grid use), industrial, and defence applications. Vijay’s work focuses on creating sustainable and decentralised power technologies that align with India’s Atmanirbhar Bharat and Net Zero 2070 missions. His innovations have received international and national recognition, including equity finance, grants and support from the Department of Science and Technology (DST), GAIL India, Department of Telecommunications, and the Biotechnology Industry Research Assistance Council (BIRAC). His startup, PRAYOGik has collaborated with Oil and Natural Gas Corporation Limited (ONGC), L&T Hydrocarbon Engineering, and Bharat Heavy Electricals Limited (BHEL) to develop reliable off-grid power systems. A 2015 graduate in Electrical Engineering from NIT (National Institute of Technology), Bhopal, Vijay also holds dual MBAs in Oil & Gas and Global Business Management. His long-term vision is to establish a Centre for Clean Energy Innovation to promote sustainable technology, entrepreneurship, and knowledge exchange between India and the UK.
