Dr Sudipti Arora

Dr Sudipti Arora is an Environmental Research Scientist and sustainability leader with over a decade of experience across scientific research, policy advisory, and on-ground implementation. She holds a PhD in Environmental Engineering from IIT Roorkee and currently serves as Assistant Director & Research Scientist (R&D) at the Dr B. Lal Institute of Biotechnology, Jaipur. She is also the Founder of the Prakrit Sustainable Integrated Foundation, working at the intersection of science and society, translating research into grassroots innovations and scalable solutions.  Additionally, she serves as an environmental, social, and governance (ESG) and sustainability consultant to organisations. Her core expertise lies in water and wastewater management, zero-waste systems, climate resilience, and ESG strategy, with a strong focus on converting scientific knowledge into practical, community- and industry-ready solutions. She has led multiple nationally and internationally funded initiatives, including wastewater surveillance programmes and rural zero-waste transformation models. Her work spans diverse sectors, including the corporate sector, financial institutions, hospitals, and manufacturing units, supporting ESG reporting, decarbonisation pathways, and resource-efficiency strategies. A committed advocate for youth action and interdisciplinary collaboration, she integrates scientific rigour with systems thinking to deliver measurable sustainability outcomes aligned with the Sustainable Development Goals.
