DPhil Interdisciplinary Bioscience DTP (2024)
My DPhil studies focus on a research area that has fascinated me for many years: the molecular interactions between plants and pathogens. Using integrative bioinformatics approaches, I investigate these complex biological processes to gain new insights into the plant immune system. Ultimately, this knowledge aims to contribute to tackling the global challenge of food security.
Without the generous support of this scholarship, studying here would not have been possible. I am deeply grateful for this opportunity, which allows me to fully concentrate on my academic goals.
I have found St Cross College to be an incredibly supportive and welcoming community. It offers not only academic encouragement, but it is also a reliable source of guidance throughout my studies.
Outside of my research, I enjoy exploring the British countryside and spending time in nature. Oxford also provides endless opportunities to discover new interests and broaden my horizons. My time here so far has been deeply enriching, in ways that go well beyond the academic.
