Marten Krijgsman is Director of Strategic Licensing at Woolf Labs, an American tech startup aiming to build the world's first online collegiate university. Originally from the Netherlands, Marten studied in Scotland before Oxford and intended to pursue a research career in comparative mythology. Pivoting first into university administration and then developing frameworks for ethical leadership in the pharmaceutical industry with a small consultancy firm, he is now responsible for maintaining Woolf's institutional accreditation, supporting its students, and expanding its global reach. Marten lives just outside of Oxford, volunteers as a village church organist, and travels the country with his Lego dioramas.
Advice to St Cross students: Your values are the single most important and helpful asset you have. Stay true to them when you build your career. Keep asking yourself what you need from your career and how that aligns with those values.
