Rose Flanigan
Disability Rep (she/her)
I’m Rose (she/her), and I ran for Disabilities Representative because I care deeply about building a college culture where students with disabilities feel supported, valued, and included. I’m studying disability history and ethics. In the UK, disability is understood as a broad umbrella that includes many experiences - someone might have ADHD, epilepsy, use mobility aids, live with a long-term mental health condition, or navigate a fluctuating illness. Before coming to Oxford, I taught undergraduate Psychology and worked at the Disability Resource Centre at the University of Illinois Chicago, supporting students with access and adjustments. I also hope to help create shared cultural spaces where students with disabilities can build community and shape college life together. Disability is a strength, and inclusive environments benefit everyone. I aim to be a consistent point of contact for anyone who wants to talk through barriers, whether physical, social, cultural, or systemic.
