Dr Stellina Jolly

Dr Stellina Jolly is a Senior Associate Professor at the Faculty of Legal Studies, South Asian University, and Visiting Senior Research Associate at the University of Johannesburg. She is an Affiliate Scholar at the Raoul Wallenberg Institute of Human Rights and Humanitarian Law, Sweden, and a Fulbright Scholar (2018–19).

With over two decades of academic and research experience, her research focuses on climate change law, environmental governance, human rights, climate-induced displacement and rights of nature. She has published extensively with leading publishing houses as well as leading journals including Oxford University Press, Springer, Hart, Bloomsbury, and Edward Elgar, also leading journals including Transnational Environmental Law, Journal of Private International Law, and Review of European Comparative and International Environmental Law (RECIEL). Her work contributed to a Toolkit on Climate Mobility for National Human Rights Institutions, produced by the Raoul Wallenberg Institute of Human Rights and Humanitarian Law (2025), strengthening institutional capacity to address climate-induced displacement and human rights risks.
