MSc in Quantum Technologies (2025)
I am an MSc student in Oxford’s new Quantum Technologies program. My research interests focus on improving hardware for quantum computation, communication, and networking. Prior to Oxford, I completed my undergraduate education at Princeton, where I worked on multiple aspects of device engineering for superconducting qubits and circuits in the de Leon group. This past experience motivates my continued interest in addressing key challenges in quantum hardware, such as decoherence and scalability. At Oxford, I am gaining exposure to state-of-the-art research in my field and building connections with professors and industry partners. Alongside coursework, I am excited to work on a masters dissertation to continue developing my skills as an experimental researcher, which I will carry with me as I pursue a PhD and a career in quantum science and engineering.
I am extremely grateful to Anne Vandenabeele for her support and for making this transformative opportunity possible.
Outside of studies, I have greatly benefited from St Cross’s vibrant and welcoming community, which has served as a hub for my social and intellectual life at Oxford. My college community includes students with a great range of backgrounds and passions, and it is inspiring to learn from everyone around me. As a graduate college with students at different stages in their lives, St Cross gives me even more exposure to a diverse range of career paths and life experiences. When not in class or the lab, I can be found rowing with the Wolfson College Boat Club and exploring the city with my St Cross friends.
