Yogendra Singh

Yogendra Singh is an Indian Administrative Service (IAS) officer currently serving in the Ministry of Textiles, Government of India. Appointed in 2025, he supports policy coordination, legislative and administrative decision-making, and inter-governmental engagement. Previously, he served as Director of Secondary Education and State Project Director in the Government of Bihar, overseeing large-scale education programmes along with education infrastructure development. He has held several senior leadership roles, including District Magistrate & Collector of Samastipur, Nalanda and Sheikhpura (2018–2024), where he led district administration, law and order, disaster management and electoral processes. 

His work has focused on strengthening public service delivery across health, education, sanitation, and infrastructure, with districts under his leadership consistently ranking among top performers in state and national assessments. He has received multiple awards and commendations in recognition of his administrative leadership and governance innovations. He has attended the JICA Knowledge Co-Creation Program on Comprehensive City Planning in Tokyo. Yogendra holds a Master's degree in Geography from Jawaharlal Nehru University, New Delhi, and is an active member of several professional associations. His interests include demographic change, public policy, and data-driven governance.
