Dr Bhavisha Sheth

Dr Bhavisha P Sheth is Head of the Incubation Centre and Assistant Professor at the School of Creative Practices and Entrepreneurship at Anant National University, India. She brings over a decade of experience at the intersection of scientific research, innovation policy, technology commercialisation, and entrepreneurship. At Anant, she leads initiatives in entrepreneurship, the institutional intellectual property cell, and enables the translation of research into scalable, real-world solutions. Dr. Sheth holds a PhD in Biotechnology from Saurashtra University, supported by the University Grants Commission, Government of India. Her doctoral research received the Gujarat Science Academy’s Best PhD Thesis Award. She was subsequently awarded a Department of Science and Technology (DST), Government of India Postdoctoral Fellowship in Science, Technology and Innovation Policy at the Entrepreneurship Development Institute of India, contributing to national research on entrepreneurship and technology commercialisation. Before her current role, she served as COO at the Technology Enabling Centre, BITS Pilani, as well as an innovation consultant with EU- and US-based startups, guiding them on innovation and commercialisation strategies. She is a Salzburg Global Fellow of the Japan India Transformative Technology Network as well as an elected Fellow of the Linnean Society of London.
