Dr Megha Maheshwari
Dr Maheshwari is a Space Scientist at the Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO). With over 14 years of experience in the space sector, her expertise spans satellite navigation, ionospheric and space weather studies, climate research, oceanography, and space debris. She works in both technical and managerial capacities across national and international space programs. As the Technical Lead for the NavIC programme, she is involved in the design and development of ionospheric and space weather parameters for users. She was appointed the technical lead for ISRO–ESA/Galileo and ISRO–DLR navigation collaborations. In parallel, she serves as a Project Manager for the ISRO’s G20 Satellite, coordinating with international teams to define their payload requirements. She was promoted to the Deputy Project Director post for the Technology Demonstration Satellite-02, where she leads system engineers in advancing next-generation space-based navigation technologies, data-sharing protocols, and satellite resource allocation strategies. As the first female ISRO scientist to conduct field experiments in Antarctica, she formulated India’s first Space Analog astronaut training outside India.
