Dr Neetika Ashwani

Dr Neetika Ashwani is on a mission to positively impact 2 million newborn lives by 2030 by translating clinical insight and public health evidence into scalable, equitable technology solutions for low-resource settings. She is a paediatrician, public health professional, and health tech entrepreneur working at the intersection of clinical care, policy, and innovation to improve newborn survival. Her background spans tertiary care, global health, and health systems strengthening. She has worked at Niloufer Hospital, one of India’s largest public paediatric referral centres, and has contributed to maternal and child health programmes with UNICEFIQVIA, and The World Bank, focusing on data-driven programme design, implementation, and evaluation. She has also worked closely with India’s national health insurance scheme, Ayushman Bharat, supporting evidence-based decision-making within large-scale public health systems. She is the founder of Kriash MedTech, a social impact startup for improving maternal and child health outcomes. NeoSense, an instrument developed by Kriash MedTech, is an IoT (Internet of Things) enabled wearable medical device designed to improve compliance with Kangaroo Care practices in Neonatal Intensive Care Units and community settings. Kriash addresses a critical gap in neonatal care by enabling objective measurement, monitoring, and improvement of a life-saving practice that remains underutilised despite strong evidence.
