  • Hours: 7 hours per week over 24 weeks (168 hours in total), to be worked flexibly between 5 January and 30 July 2026, by agreement with the Communications Officer.
    Working patterns can vary week to week, provided that hours do not exceed 20 hours in any one week (or a lower limit where applicable to UK Right to Work or visa restrictions).
  • Contract Type: Fixed Term – 5 January – 31 July
  • Open to: Current St Cross Students only
  • Salary: Paid pro-rata at £25,331 per annum

St Cross is looking for a creative and confident St Cross student to take on the role of Student Communications Assistant to help shape and share the voice of St Cross College across our social media channels.

Working closely with the Communications Officer, you’ll be responsible for producing engaging content for Instagram, Facebook, LinkedIn and YouTube—showcasing the life of the College to prospective and current students, alumni, and our wider community.

You’ll need to be:

  • Proficient in Adobe Creative Suite (especially Photoshop and/or Premiere Pro)
  • Comfortable creating social content, whether for personal or professional accounts
  • Full of ideas for how we can bring the St Cross story to life online

Open only to current St Cross students, this is a paid (£25,331 per annum pro-rata), part-time role during term time (7 hours per week,168hours total to be worked flexibly between 5 January and 30 July 2026, by agreement with the Communications Officer), offering valuable experience in digital communications, creative content production and brand storytelling.
