Introducing Kristina Lunz
Kristina Lunz is an award-winning human rights activist, author, and co-founder of the Centre for Feminist Foreign Policy(CFFP), the world’s first research and advocacy organisation promoting an intersectionally feminist and people-centered approach to foreign policy. With a background in psychology and master's degrees from University College London and the University of Oxford, Kristina has dedicated her career to integrating feminist principles into international relations.
Kristina’s professional journey has included roles with the United Nations Development Programme in Myanmar and New York, and she has served in several advisory capacities within the German Foreign Office. She has co-initiated impactful activist campaigns, including ‘No Means No’ (2016), which advocated for reforms to Germany’s rape laws, and a 2014 campaign challenging sexism in Bild newspaper.
Her acclaimed book The Future of Foreign Policy is Feminist (2022) has sparked global debate on the intersection of gender, power, and diplomacy. Among numerous recognitions, she was named to Forbes’ “30 Under 30” in 2019, Focus magazine’s “100 Women of the Year” in 2020, and currently serves on the Advisory Group for the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation’s Goalkeepers Initiative on the UN Sustainable Development Goals.
