The workshop will begin with a 40-minute context-setting lecture by Christopher Bishop describing the historical connections between technology and business models, as well as a perspective on where careers are heading in the coming decades. The session will also include an introduction to his Future Career Toolkit.
Part two: Secrets for Creating an Award-Winning Deep Tech Start-Up
Dr Zhanet Zaharieva will then describe how her passion for science led her to earn a DPhil and then start a bleeding-edge tech company. In addition, she will describe how working with an incubator that supports young tech entrepreneurs in Oxford was crucial to her company's successful launch.
