Part one: How to Succeed at Jobs that Don't Exist Yet - Historical Perspective on Technology and Careers
Part two: The Future Career Toolkit
Factors like continuing globalisation, the development of technologies such as generative AI, quantum information science, augmented/virtual/mixed reality, robotics, blockchain, data science, the space economy and crypto assets as well as the emerging gig economy and contingent worker paradigm, are all intersecting to disrupt traditional business models. The good news is that there are tremendously exciting opportunities for those prepared to take advantage of these changes.
The workshop will begin with a context-setting lecture by Christopher Bishop describing the historical connections between technology and business models, as well as a perspective on where careers are heading in the coming decades. The session will also include an introduction to his Future Career Toolkit.
