BAME Representative

I’m Sabrina Yuchengqiu Liu, and I’m honoured to be the BAME Representative at St Cross. As an Asian student studying abroad for the first time, I know what it feels like to navigate a new cultural space, look for a sense of belonging, and celebrate the parts of our identities that make us who we are.  My academic background in African Studies strengthened my awareness of how historical legacies and contemporary inequalities intersect, and shaped my commitment to an inclusive and equitable community.  

As BAME Rep, I hope to help build a community that celebrates our diversity. I’m here to share the voices of BAME students within the SRC, offer approachable and friendly support, and organise events that help us connect, share, and celebrate our cultures.
