Practical Strategies to Promote Good Mental Health and Emotional Resilience for Postgraduate Students 
   
•       To identify common psychological challenges when undertaking postgraduate research 
•       To understand key factors that promote healthy wellbeing and individual resilience 
•       To understand the nature of stress and its impact on mental health and the role of resilience in mediating stress 
•       To overview self-care strategies that facilitate and enhance psychological wellbeing 
 
This 60-minute session will identify some of the common psychological challenges faced by postgraduate students including stress, perfectionism and imposter syndrome, and it will look at practical strategies to help overcome these challenges from a cognitive behavioural perspective. An exploration of practices that contribute to good mental health and resilience will underpin the workshop.
