Join us for India at the Frontier: Innovation, Entrepreneurship, Deep Tech and the Race for Compute. A conversation featuring Mr Amitabh Kant, former G20 Sherpa of India and former CEO of NITI Aayog, and Mr Siddharth Sinha, Associate Vice President at Greenko and former Chevening CRISP Fellow at St Cross College.
Together, they will explore India's rise as one of the world's most dynamic startup and deep tech ecosystems, the policy architecture that has driven this transformation, and the opportunities and challenges of building globally competitive businesses from India. The discussion will also examine the country's rapidly expanding data centre landscape, the race for compute, clean energy and sovereign AI, and why these developments may shape the future of technology, business, and geopolitics.
This will be followed by the launch of Kant and Sinha’s book Smarter than the Storm, hosted by The Oxford India Centre for Sustainable Development (OICSD) and the ZERO Institute, featuring the authors in conversation with Professor Jan Rosenow and Professor Radhika Khosla. The launch will be held from 5:30 to 6:30pm on Thursday 18 June at Flora Anderson Hall, Somerville College.
The discussion will explore how artificial intelligence can support climate action, resilience, and sustainable development, while addressing the environmental and governance challenges posed by emerging technologies. Drawing on global examples and policy insights, it will examine the opportunities and risks at the intersection of AI, energy transitions, and climate futures. You can register for the book launch via this Form.
