Two former Chevening Crisp Fellows have been as Achievers by the National Indian Students and Alumni Union (NISAU). This recognition highlights the contributions of Indian alumni of UK institutions across sectors, and St Cross is delighted to see its former CRISP Fellows among those honoured for 2026.
Sreedevi Devireddy’s (CRISP 2022) work since returning to India has focused on grassroots development through innovation and enterprise. As CEO of a rural incubator, she has supported more than 400 women entrepreneurs and young people in building sustainable livelihoods. Her approach centres on developing enterprise ecosystems in underserved regions and strengthening connections between higher education and rural innovation.
Smita Mankad (CRISP 2018), a social entrepreneur and independent director, was recognised for her leadership and impact across corporate and social sectors. With three decades of experience, her work spans rural livelihoods, education, and support for artisans, alongside board roles in major Indian companies. Her recognition forms part of a wider India–UK programme celebrating alumni contributing to the partnership between the two countries.
St Cross College warmly congratulates Sreedevi and Smita on this recognition, which reflects the impact of their work and the continued strength of the College’s global community across a range of different fields.
