Audience with HM the King of Bahrain's Representative attended by St Cross student

St Cross College student Mahdi Ghuloom (MSt Practical Ethics, 2023) was invited to an audience with His Highness Sheikh Nasser Bin Hamad Al Khalifa, who is His Majesty the King’s of Bahrain’s Representative for Humanitarian Work and Youth Affairs, to discuss the "Masari" programme.  

The "Masari" program, aligned with the vision of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa, emphasizes the importance of nurturing and empowering Bahraini youth across diverse fields. The "Masari" initiative aims to cultivate partnerships with non-profit organizations, offer vocational training in international companies, and promote experiential learning through exploration programs worldwide. As part of a project, Mahdi took part in the International Visitor Leadership Program (IVLP) in the United States, where he collaborated on a research project comparing youth centres and initiatives promoting youth employability. 

Mahdi, holding a BSc in Economics and Politics, MSc in Policy Analytics from the University of Exeter, and is currently pursuing an MSt in Practical Ethics at the University of Oxford. Actively involved in college life, he serves as the SRC Career Representative at St Cross, connecting with the University's Careers Services. In this role, he informs junior members about career events and coordinates academic activities at both college and divisional levels.
