Alumna Dr Poorna Mysoor publishes monograph ‘Implied Licences in Copyright Law’

St Cross alumna Dr Poorna Mysoor publishes her monograph ‘Implied Licences in Copyright Law’ this week with OUP.

The book draws on principles of private law to propose frameworks for implying copyright licences, with the aim of achieving copyright balance, and is one of the first full-length monographs to provide an exploration entirely devoted to implied licences in copyright law.

In the book, Dr Mysoor develops a methodology for implying copyright licences, and lays a firm foundation for the application of implied licences to online as well as offline scenarios. The book covers three major jurisdictions - UK, Australia, and Canada.

Dr Mysoor is a Leverhulme Trust Early Career Fellow with the Faculty of Law, is an Extraordinary Junior Research Fellow with the Queen's College, Oxford, and is an Academic Member of the Oxford Intellectural Property Research Centre.
