St Cross College is delighted to share that one of its students, Marco Robert Godfrey Allegretti, has been selected to exhibit in the Ruskin School of Art Degree Show 2025. Marco will be presenting a selection of his recent paintings, and warmly welcomes members of the St Cross community to attend the exhibition and the official opening night.
The Opening Night will take place on Friday 20 June, from 7–10pm, and the exhibition will remain open to the public over the following days:
Saturday 21 & Sunday 22 June: 12–6pm
Monday 23 to Wednesday 25 June: 12–5pm
Marco exhibits as both a St Cross College and Ruskin School of Art student, and commented on what visitors of the exhibition can expect of his work:
My practice explores the interplay of colour, light, texture, and time, often drawing inspiration from nature and weathered surfaces. My intuitive, process-led approach builds layered marks that create a dialogue between chance and intention, reflecting both unpredictability and control.

Born in the UK and raised in Rome, Marco holds a BA from the Slade School of Fine Art and completed a postgraduate scholarship, The Drawing Year, at the Royal Drawing School. He is currently completing his MFA at the Ruskin.
We encourage all members of College to visit the show and support Marco’s exceptional work as he concludes his time at Oxford.
