The College is currently recruiting up to 8 student employee positions for the 2025-26 academic year. Preference will be given to applicants continuing their study at St Cross during the 2025-26 academic year.
Student Ambassadors will assist with a range of tasks throughout the year. Primarily, duties will support our new intake of students, along with ad hoc events subject to post holders’ availability and college needs

One of the first tasks will be: Welcome Team
Welcome Team Duties:
- To be available to work some half-day or full-day sessions within our Freshers' Fortnight:Mon 29 Sept - Fri 03 Oct and Mon 06 Oct - Fri 10 Oct
- Welcome our new students into college, meet-and-greet
- Provide practical advice and guidance on college and student life in Oxford
- Answer questions from our new students and make them feel welcome in college
- Give short tours of St Cross
- Manage flow of students who require IT support from our IT support team
- Assist the Admissions Administrator on student registration tasks, if needed
- Ad hoc administrative tasks as needed
For the Welcome Team:
- Free lunch in our dining hall on the days you're working.
- Free tea/coffee and delicious St Cross cakes during our Welcome Sessions
- Training provided – in person or on Microsoft Teams
