Contributing to the peace-building and state building efforts in Somalia is what brought Yasmin Ahmed to Oxford to study her Master's in Public Policy. Two years on, she is seconded to the Office of National Security at the Office of the President of the Federal Republic of Somalia as the legal and sanctions adviser.
Previously she worked in the East-African region with the European Union and as a broadcast journalist for 3 years at the BBC’s World Service.
