Hi! My name is Nianzu Xiong, and I am a doctoral student in Economics.

​​Before coming to Oxford, I majored in Mathematics and Economics at the University of Pennsylvania as an undergraduate and got my MPhil degree in Economic Research from the University of Cambridge. 

At Oxford, I use game theory to tackle critical problems in financial economics and political economy. I have analyzed how firms compete and cooperate, how buyers manipulate markets, and how candidates compete strategically in elections. I am also interested in the economics of cryptocurrency.

I teach various courses for MBA, MSc in Financial Economics, and undergraduate PPE students.

I am incredibly honored to receive this generous scholarship from St Cross college, and I look forward to meeting fellow scholars.
