Andrew is a Director of Software Engineering at Google in Mountain View, California. Andrew studied Electronic Engineering at the University of Southampton before moving to St Cross College to pursue a DPhil in Computer Science. Andrew has worked in tech in Silicon Valley since his graduation in 1995, most recently at Intel and at X, the Moonshot Factory, before moving to Google in 2019, where he is currently working on the TensorFlow machine-learning platform.

Advice to St Cross Students: My successes in a career in tech have owed as much or more to people skills such as communication and collaboration as my technical skills.
