It’s often really hard to slot into conventional career choices (particularly after masters/doctorate levels of academic rigour). But financial pressures and convention usually mean we’ve got to do something.

That was certainly Robin Wells's experience. During Robin’s workshop, attendees will gain the confidence to think outside the box when planning their next move as he shares some pros and cons of conventional jobs and careers, and gives a taste of what it means to be an entrepreneur or work in a start-up.

Robin will share some ‘tools for success’ and his best tips on how to reach the top in whatever you do – all borne from [painful and meandering] experience!

Programme:

15:00: ‘What to do if you don’t know what to do …’ interactive workshop and discussion.

16:00: Join Robin for tea, coffee and refreshments in the West Wing Foyer.

This exclusive experience will give St Cross students unparalleled access and insight into entrepreneurship and finding your way beyond higher education.

After leaving St Cross in 1994, Robin spent much of the following years travelling and doing odd-jobs until a ‘personal path’ emerged in his late 20s. Over the next two decades, he built a successful business which he sold, becoming financially free at age 45.

Today, Robin is building a second business – in sports cars; his passion. He also holds several board positions and ownership in other businesses in property and tourism.
