Don’t look up: when climate change meets Hollywood

In December 2021, Don’t Look Up – a new film starring Leonardo DiCaprio and Jennifer Lawrence that parodies humanity’s inaction on climate change – became Netflix’s most viewed film around the world. This talk explores what the film, as well as other environment-related movies, could mean for how the public engages with climate change and prospects for climate action.
