St Cross College is an equal opportunities employer.

St Cross is one of eight colleges within the University of Oxford dedicated to postgraduate students. Situated on St Giles’ in heart of the city, it boasts picturesque quadrangles secluded from the busy streets outside. The international character of the community, the extraordinary range of subjects studied and the intellectual curiosity of our committed graduate students and Fellowship makes for a highly stimulating environment.

The College combines the prestige of a distinguished Fellowship with a friendly informal culture and a strong sense of community. It is a hub for social activity, relaxation and enjoyable conversation in the dining hall and common rooms, leading to lifelong friendships.

St Cross is looking for an Estates Manager who will be at the forefront of delivering an environment in which our students and Fellows can thrive.  This is an exciting time to join St Cross, as we launch our 2025-28 strategy, with clear aspirations to enhance our College – including investment in our buildings.  We’re looking for someone who wants to take on the challenge of enhancing our spaces and developing our estate  – from increasing our accommodation and expanding our social and study spaces, to reducing our carbon footprint.

Our ideal candidate will have significant experience at strategic and operational level in building management or maintenance/estates, and will be as committed to compliance and planned maintenance as they are to developing our capital programme.   The Estates Manager is a pivotal role in the College, and we’re looking for someone with excellent team leadership and interpersonal skills to ensure we put the College community at the heart of all we do.

This post is a permanent, full-time position. (37.5 hours per week).
