St Cross student Julia Lindsay’s rowing pair win gold medals at BUCS regatta

BUCS regatta medal winners, stood holding medals between their teeth

St Cross student Julia Lindsay (MSc (Res) Psychiatry, 2020,) is part of an Oxford University Women's Boat Club rowing pair that won gold medals last week at the British Universities & Colleges Sport (BUCS) regatta.

In the Championship category Julia Lindsay (bow) and Anja Zehfuss (stroke) won first place in the final pulling ahead of the Imperial Boat Club's pair. Their classy performance allowed them to cross the line clear of the rest of the field.

An Oxford University Women's Boat Club pair in the Intermediate category also took clear waters and won gold medals.

This year, Julia was also one of the Oxford women rowing in the prestigious Oxford and Cambridge Boat Race. The annual race against Cambridge is one of the oldest and most famous amateur sporting events, and was raced this year in Ely, Cambridgeshire, rather than London, owing to COVID precautions.

Many congratulations to Julia on her well-deserved win!
