Photography Competition 2018: Winner Announced

The College is delighted to announce that student Kla Karava (DPhil Particle Physics) has won this year's photography competition with his photo "The Truth Behind the Door", taken at the Tate Modern, London. Kla will be awarded his prize of £100 at the Encaenia prizegiving on Wednesday 20 June. The annual College photography competition is open to all members and alumni and is judged by the Art Committee.

There was an exceptional standard of entries this year, and the judges were pleased to see many different interpretations of the theme 'Doorways'.

Student Claire Holubowskyj (MPhil Archaeology) was awarded second place for her entry: "Beyond Death’s Door: a mausoleum in Buenos Aires' Recoleta cemetery abandoned by living relatives".

Student Josefin Betsholtz (MPhil Politics) was awarded third prize for her entry "Doorways in Rajasthan 2".

All of the entries will be displayed in the Common Room from Monday 18 June.
