St Cross Honorary Fellow Professor David Warrell has been awarded the 2019 Sir Patrick Manson Medal by the Royal Society of Tropical Medicine & Hygiene (RSTMH). This distinguished award is given out every three years to honour exceptional contributions to any branch of tropical medicine or hygiene and is the Society's highest mark of distinction. Warrell recieved the award jointly with Professor Janet Hemingway, who is the first woman to receive the Manson Medal.
