Alumnus Rostyslav Semikov raises funds for Ukraine

St Cross alumnus Dr Rostyslav (Rosty) Semikov (MSc Global Health Science, 2007) represents the charity Peace and Development Foundation which focuses on humanitarian aid to Ukraine and those impacted by the Russian invasion.

Founded in 2016 in Ukraine by Rosty, the Foundation’s goal is to help young Ukrainian professionals, including doctors and lawyers, practice in their industry with high expertise and integrity. Now, the charity has started fundraising for medical supplies, shelter and transportation for refugees from Ukraine.

For a long time, Rosty, who was born in the Ukrainian city of Zaporizhzhia, has been actively involved in civil and charity work. While being at Oxford in 2006-2007, he was a Secretary of Oxford University Ukrainian Society (OUUS) and he managed various activities there.

He is also a co-founder of Audubon Bioscience – an organisation that aims to support cutting-edge cancer and precision medicine research to find new life-saving diagnostics and treatments.
