Graduate Scholarship in Astrophysics

St Cross College, jointly with the Sub-Department of Astrophysics, offers the following scholarship for DPhil students. The Sub-Department of Astrophysics offers a range of projects covering astronomical instrumentation, observation and theory. Full details of the projects on offer for study can be found on the Astrophysics webpages at https://www2.physics.ox.ac.uk/study-here/postgraduates/astrophysics.

The Scholarship is open to all applicants and covers the cost of the course fee for Home/Republic of Ireland students for three years. Overseas students with UKRI funding may be eligible for Home fee status and should check this with their department after receiving an offer. All other overseas candidates will need to secure additional funding to cover the shortfall between the Scholarship's Home/Republic of Ireland fee cover and the overseas course fee. The Scholarship will be partnered with a UKRI studentship to provide the standard UKRI stipend for living costs.

The Graduate Scholarship is awarded purely on the basis of academic merit. To be considered for this scholarship, applicants must have applied to study for a DPhil in Astrophysics by the January 2022 application deadline. No separate application is required and all eligible offer-holders will be considered for these awards.
