St Cross is delighted to congratulate alumnus Douglas Wigdor (1993, MLitt Social Studies) on his inclusion in Forbes Magazine’s list of America’s Top 250 Lawyers for 2025. Recognised in the Labour & Employment category, he was selected for his exceptional achievements and lasting impact on the profession.
As founding partner of Wigdor LLP, a leading New York firm specialising in employment litigation, Mr Wigdor has secured more than $1.5 billion in verdicts and settlements. His work on landmark cases (including against Harvey Weinstein, Dominique Strauss-Kahn and Sean Combs) has shaped national conversations on workplace rights, accountability, and reform. He has been referred to by the Financial Times as “America’s most prominent #MeToo lawyer.”
During his time at St Cross, he earned a Master’s degree in Social Studies and represented the University’s basketball team, winning a Full Blue. Twice named Alumnus of the Year, he is also recognised for his generosity to the College. In recognition of their generous contributions, the Library Garden Room is named in honour of Mr Wigdor and his wife Catherine. He also established the St Cross Professionals in Residence lecture series.
St Cross is proud to celebrate this latest accolade in Mr Wigdor’s distinguished career.
