FAQs from our induction sessions:

Thank you to everyone who attended the Induction Sessions yesterday for new students. During the final session a number of questions were raised. Please find answers to these questions below.

  • Do we need to book for Pub in the Hall?
Yes - this will be on the booking system.
  • Is my family allowed to help me bring things into accommodation?
As students move in they are permitted to have help, but we ask all visitors to wear face coverings and to leave the premises as soon as moving in is completed. They cannot use communal areas. Guests cannot stay in College at this time.
  • When will my enrolment certificate be available on Student Self-Service?
This is available as soon as you have completed your enrolment in person or online.
  • Where can we find the COVID-19 Student Responsibility Agreement? Do I have to complete it if I am studying remotely?
All students need to sign this. Information is available here. Continuing students will have received an email from the Bursar on Friday 2 October with instructions to complete an online form.
  • How do I obtain a tuition fee invoice?
Please contact the Accounts Manager Judith Ledger (accounts.manager@stx.ox.ac.uk) with any queries regarding fees.
  • What are the arrangements for the Introductory Dinner photos?
There will be a photographer on site between 18:00 - 18:45 before each Introductory Dinner, either in the Lange Room or Common Room.
  • What are the arrangements for students arriving in January?
Students will be enrolled virtually once they have uploaded their passport/ID and SRA, and University cards will be held at the Porters' Lodge for eventual collection.
  • After completing the online GP registration, should I have received a confirmation email?
Please check directly with your GP.
  • Other Universities are testing on a weekly basis - why isn't Oxford using this approach?
For information about the University's approach to testing please see the University's website for up-to-date details.

You can read her full oration here.
