St Cross Alumna Awarded Leverhulme Trust Fellowship

St Cross alumna Dr Poorna Mysoor (DPhil Law, 2013) has been awarded a Leverhulme Trust Early Career Fellowship for 2018. This Fellowship will fund her research full-time for three years, and she will be affiliated with the University of Oxford Law Faculty and OIPRC (Oxford Intellectual Property Research Centre).

Poorna's project will explore how the structure of tangible property can be transposed to copyright to achieve a balance between ownership and user rights, and will examine how private law principles enable better conceptualisation of copyright law.

The Leverhulme Trust Early Career Fellowship is particularly competitive - only 100 awards are made annually from over 800 applications. The Fellowship recognises original and high quality research of exceptional significance, undertaken by researchers early in their careers but with proven track records of breaking boundaries and providing new insights to established discourse.

Our congratulations go to Poorna for this prestigious recognition of her academic work.
