Saugman Common Room (see the 360 Virtual Tour)
This room is the main area for Members to meet and socialise, with many College events taking place here. Located in the original wing of the college with a view over the Richard Blackman Quadrangle through large windows, the Saugman room, a former cloister has an authentic character. Stocked with an extremely wide range of daily newspapers and monthly journals, the Common Room is a great place to relax and mingle with other College members.
The Hall (see the 360 Virtual Tour)
Located in the newer extension to the South wing, the Hall is a highly attractive dining room, seating up to 120 people for lunch every day and a range of special dinners and feasts throughout the term.
The large windows offer superb views to the college garden, which together with the high ceilings make this room a light, airy and comfortably spacious area.
Multi Media Centres
St Cross College boasts two "Multi-Media Centres" offering computing and printing facilities as well as being the home of the College's library .
Caroline Miles Room
Opened as a second Common Room to be enjoyed by all college members, the Caroline Miles room is stocked with large comfortable sofas, a huge TV and sound system. Offering a more low-key, relaxed atmosphere than the Saugman, the Caroline Miles room hosts movie nights throughout the term.
The St Cross Room (see the 360 Virtual Tour)
The St Cross room is the designated meeting space for all College committees. Offering state of the art presentation facilities and specially made furniture by London designer Luke Hughes, this room allows college business to be conducted in comfort and style.
Bar (see the 360 Virtual Tour)
As with all Colleges, the bar forms an important part of the College social life. With a pool table, table football, TV and decked out in college colours, the Bar is open 5 nights a week and hosts several "bops" per term. Serving an impressive selection of locally produced beverages, the bar offers something for all tastes including non-alcoholic options and the largest range of whiskey in Oxford!
Wireless Internet Access
The College is proud of its commitment to providing an excellent learning environment. Part of that commitment extends to the technological resources available to our members. The college now offers free wireless internet access across the majority of the ground floor and lower ground floor of the main site, including coverage in the Saugman Common Room, Ground Floor Multi Media Centre and the Bar.
