Record total raised for hospice at carol service

The annual joint St Cross College/Pusey House service of traditional Advent lessons and carols, held on 7 December, has raised a splendid total of £312.05 for Helen & Douglas House, a local charity in Oxford which provides much-needed hospice care for children and young adults.

This sum, well above last year's contributions, undoubtedly reflects the fact that the Chapel was absolutely packed with College members and their families and friends. The magnificent surroundings of the Chapel inspired the College choir under the direction of Peter Ward Jones, whose professional skill and inspiration encouraged the members to give of their best. Thanks go to them, and to all who took part in the service.
