St Cross College, Oxford

One of the most eagerly awaited and special evenings of the year is always the occasion of the annual College Founders' Feast.

This year's took place on 26 November when 120 members of the College gathered to enjoy the essence of St Cross; fine dining and great conversation!

The Feast was a real triumph, with many members commenting that this was the best yet: we tucked into a sumptuous 5-course meal accompanied by superb and very well chosen wines. An excellent speech was given by the Master, Professor Andrew Goudie, on the College's strengths and achievements in 2010 and Professor David Warrell replied on behalf of the Founders, three of whom, Mr Fred Hodcroft, Dr Ruth van Heyningen and Professor Alan Jones, were present at the Feast. 

It was a pleasure to welcome the new Master Elect too: Sir Mark Jones, pictured with current students, will take up the Mastership in September 2011.
