The annual College carol service was held in the Chapel of Pusey House on Tuesday 6 December. It was conducted by Bishop Jonathan Baker, the Principal of Pusey House, assisted by Fr Philip Corbett and Fr Mihai Novacovschi and the chapel was full of members of College, their families and friends.
The traditional Advent lessons were interspersed with carols sung by the congregation and by the College choir, which comes together each Michaelmas term under the direction of Peter Ward Jones for a few weeks. Those attending gave very generously to the retiring collection: a record total of more than £320 was raised and it will be divided between two good causes, namely the Gatehouse, an Oxford-based charity providing food, shelter and company to Oxford's homeless and poorly housed population, and the Hélène La Rue Fund, set up to provide a College Music Scholarship in memory of a former Fellow.
Thanks go to all who took part in the service, making it a memorable occasion to round off the term.
