BBC to repeat 'A History of Christianity'

There will very soon be another chance to see Professor Diarmaid MacCulloch's award-winning TV series 'A History of Christianity', which is to be given a repeat showing on BBC4.  It will begin, most appropriately, at 7.00pm on Easter Sunday, 24 April, and for the following five Sundays.

In the first part of this series sweeping across four continents, Professor MacCulloch goes in search of Christianity's forgotten origins. He overturns the familiar story that it all began when the apostle Paul took Christianity from Jerusalem to Rome. Instead, he shows that the true origins of Christianity lie further east.

Professor MacCulloch's introduction to the series is available online as an audio podcast: to hear this please subscribe to the St Cross Lectures Podcast Feed.
