A Celebration of Archaeology and Anthropology at St Cross

Tuesday 13th March 2007 - St Cross College

To mark the retirement of Professor Wendy James and the departure from St Cross of Professor Chris Gosden to take up a Fellowship at Keble in association with his new Chair, we are holding a celebration of Archaeology and Anthropology in College on Tuesday 13th March 2007.

We are delighted that Professor Clive Gamble of Royal Holloway, University of London, has kindly agreed to speak at the event, which will be held in the newly refurbished St Cross Room (formerly the Darwell Stone Room).

The title of Professor Gamble's talk will be: Social brains and anthropological minds: an evolutionary story.

Invitations will be sent to alumni who studied in the fields of Archaeology and Anthropology, as well as former and current Fellows and students still in the Oxford area, although places are limited.
