Opening a UK Bank Account

Overseas students may experience difficulty in opening a UK current bank account. Whilst students can by personal choice visit any Bank with a view to opening an account, the College would suggest that in the first instance they apply to:

Barclays Bank plc
Oxford City Centre Branch
Cornmarket St
Oxford

St Cross College and Oxford University use Barclays for their banking requirements.

You should arrive at the bank with your passport and original letter of enrolment from the college. It would help speed up the process if you also provided evidence of your funding for the length of your course.
